Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):
Homework is assigned most every night in math. Students should have their planner filled out with homework each night. Homework falls into Daily Work which counts 40% of their average. Tests and Quizzes count 60% of their average. Homework in math should never take longer than 15 minutes to complete.
In addition, students should be reviewing their Cornell Notes nightly. Students are allowed to use their Cornell Notes on all of their Daily Work assignments only. They will not be able to use Cornell Notes on any Quizzes or Tests.

We are moving right along with learning new topics and using technology. After this week of school, students should have access to all their curriculum on the internet. There will still be some supplemental websites they will use and will get their logins as we use those websites. Students have full access to Big Ideas Math curriculum online. They can access it through our sixth grade website. https://vms6thgrade.weebly.com/parent-and-student-websites.html

6th Grade News
Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s): We are off to a great start this school year. All students are beginning to adjust to being in the 6th grade at the middle school. We are very proud of them. We will be trying to get students enrolled to their online materials. Please be patient during this progress. We should have students up and running with online materials by the middle of September. They will be able to access all the materials from their Classlink account. We hope that you are having a great week! Enjoy the weekend!
