Student Expectation Contract
1: We will follow certain classroom protocols. We will be organized, efficient, and on task. In order to do so, we will follow these rules:
A.) Do not get out of your seat without permission. Exception: If you are sick, leave immediately.
B.) Do not speak unless:
1. You raise your hand, and you are called on.
2. When you are asked a question and you are responding.
3. It is recess or lunch.
4. When you are instructed otherwise (for example, during group work).
2: Show Respect at ALL times.
A.) When responding to any adult, you must answer by saying “Yes ma’am” or “No sir.” Just nodding your head or saying
any other form of yes or no is not acceptable.
B.) Do not smack your lips, tsk, roll your eyes, or show disrespect with gestures.
3: When in a line, walk single file, two to three feet behind the person in front of you with your arms at your sides. You will face forward at all times. There will be absolutely no talking while walking in the hallways!!
4: If any student in this school is bothering you, let us know. We are here to look after you and protect you. We will not allow anyone in this school to bully you or make you feel uncomfortable. In return, you are asked not to take matters into your own hands; let us deal with the student(s) and situation.
5: Homework will be checked each day for each subject for every student with no exceptions. When homework is assigned, there is to be no moaning or complaining. Homework is due the next day unless different instructions have been given. Homework will not be accepted late if students were present for class the day of the assignment.
6: While you are with a substitute teacher, you will obey the same rules that you follow when we are with you.
7: During an assembly, DO NOT speak, be respectful and do not look around and try to get the attention of your friends in other classes. We must uphold an image that shows we have our act together.
8: No matter what the circumstances, always be honest. Even if you have done something wrong, it is best to admit it to us, because we will respect that, and oftentimes we will be able to move forward without any disciplinary measures because of your honesty.
9: Desks, centers, and classroom will be neat, clean, and organized with any chairs pushed in at the end of the day each and every day. You must wait to be dismissed before leaving the room.
10: Students will be allowed to go to the restroom during designated times. Students WILL NOT be allowed to go during classroom instructional time unless it is a dire emergency! We will use our time wisely.
11: ALL students will follow the Washington County School Board outlined DRESS CODE. This rule will be strongly enforced. There will not be any exceptions to the rule at all. School is a work environment for students and they should be dressed appropriately.
Consequences will vary depending on the offense the student has broken with above contract and/or school rules. (School Rules can be located in the Student Handbook.)

2nd offense- Parent Phone Call
3rd offense- Loss of free time/Silent Lunch Detention
